Kate Middleton has worn a huge number of the jewels once worn by Princess Diana, the late mother of Prince William.
The Duchess of Cambridge was given Princess Diana’s engagement ring by Prince William.
She has also worn Diana’s sapphire earrings and the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara, which is from the royal vault but is associated with Princess Diana.
Today she made another nod to the world-famous Princess of Wales.
Kate Middleton attended the annual Order of the Garter Service at St George’s Chapel alongside a number of royals from all over the world today.
She attended the event alongside Sophie Countess of Wessex, 54, and other foreign royals.
Kate’s monochrome outfit drew admiring gazes from fans.
The earrings she wore are part of the set which includes the famous Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara.
Princess Diana was meant to wear this piece for her wedding, but instead chose her family tiara, the Spencer tiara, as the Cambridge Lover’s Knot tiara was too heavy.
However, she still wore the earrings from the set, borrowed from the Queen.
The Duchess wore a white and black look, in a coat with a Peter Pan collar.
The dress is the “Liza“ coat dress from Catherine Walker, a favourite brand of Her Royal Highness.
The website says of the piece: “A contemporary take on a ’50’s look, this coatdress in ivory wool crepe has copped jacket ‘panels’ edged in fine black lace.”
The website doesn’t list the price of the coat, but it is likely to be rather expensive.
Second hand garments from the brand sell for around £200 on eBay.
She also added a pair if black Prada pumps, likely to have cost around £495.
Kate met with a number of foreign royals, including Queen Letizia and Queen Maxima.
Queen Letizia of Spain wore the black and white Didi dress, £250, by Cherubina.
She also wore an enormous diamond brooch, leaving many guessing at how much it might be worth.
Queen Maxima wore a blush pink coat dress with cape sleeves and a wife belt.
Kate Middleton wore a Barbara Casasola dress worth £1580 recently.
The Duchess decided to add some sparkle to her outfit with a pair of silver sparkly high-heels by Jimmy Choo, costing £525.
Kate kept her jewellery to a minimum, wearing only a pair of drop diamond hoop earrings by Kiki McDonough, which are on sale for £3400.
Her beautiful sapphire engagement ring could also be spotted as she held onto her bag.
